the imaginarium of doctor parnassus

i sincerely enjoyed this film directed by terry gilliam, who also did films such as fear & loathing in las vegas, the brothers grimm and twelve monkeys. if you've watched any of those films, go figure what kind of film imaginarium will be hehe. anyway, most responses i got from those who watched this film was that they didn't like it at all, it was utterly boring and they didn't understand it. sigh... sometimes i think the public just want generic action, superhero, romantic, funny, love stories and are not ready for films that step outside the box. i don't blame them though.. sometimes i enjoy those films, especially romantic comedies but i also do enjoy films that play with my mind.

for those who have watched this film, what would your world look like if you stepped into the mirror? i'm still trying to figure out what mine would look like...

oh and johnny depp looks insanely like heath ledger in this film.

as if i don't already hate cab drivers..

1. they're fucking conmen.

2. when you phone for a cab, it's always "sorry, no taxi".

3. when you hail a cab, they give you a fixed priced, eg:

"going to ou?"

"ou ah? uhh... 20 ringgit".

just switch on your damn meter la fucker.

4. when you hail a cab, they refuse you half of the time.

5. there have been cases where they've kidnapped & raped their female passengers.

6. they're the MOST reckless drivers i've ever come across anywhere in the world.

and the most recent reason why i fucking hate cabs:

7. on the 30th of dec '09, a cab driver ran over & killed my kitten who was barely 4 months old right in front of my house. my area is well-lit so you can see what's on the road. i know kittens at that age are very hyper and like to run around and dont look left/right but YOU as a driver in a HOUSING AREA should fucking watch where you're going. i will never forgive you.

1 year has gone by

happy birthday rozzzzz-ster! i've not known you for long, just over a year but we've gone through some pretty awesome stuff together, i must say! i remember the first time i met you was at cho-gao, and i know i told you this story before but my first impression of meeting you was "hmm malas nya nak hang out dengan orang baru." but you knowwwww i take it back now kan kan kan hehehe.

you meet new people almost everyday but it's rare that you find those that you can really get along with & genuinely like, and you're one of 'em :) the end of last year was probably one of the best times of my life, hanging out with you & the rest. it was such a carefree time, just waiting for graduation and not caring or worrying about anything. how things have changed now that we've graduated and started work. everyone is so so busy but on those rare days where all of us do get a chance to meet up, it feels like our carefree days again :)

oh, and there will always be the memories of the awesome-est eurotrip in the history of mankind! hehe ;)

okay fine i'll post a decent picture of us not making fools out of ourselves ;)
